    Design needs improvement.

    Every two weeks, the manual instructs to replace the 'sub micron pre filter' - the round cotton-like disc. Due to the terrible design, it is a massive struggle to grip and pull the plastic cap which holds the pre filter in place. We are supposed to pull this cap out by the pointy upside down cone but it has ZERO grip - just slipperly plastic! I've had to use pliers to pull it out. Additionally, this cap feels too large to fit in the hole and the only way to get this cap back in is to snap the rings (see pic). Two caps are supplied in each replacement filter set, so that means the manufacturers know that this is a problem!. Why not just redesign it so there's less waste?? So frustrating. I can think of several ways to tackle this issue!

    Other than that, the filtration of water is good. The fornight maintenance is so annoying.

    Hi Baron,

    Sorry for your frustration, the best way to change the upper pad is to use your thumb to push the clip to the side and it will pop out. You can get away with not using the pad, however this means heavier contaminants with reduce the filter life of other stages. Using the pad is how we manage to get up to 2 years filter life.

    Being the first time to replace the filter for the jug. The majority of it was easy. I needed to look at the instructions again to work out how to removed the filter. Once I knew it was simple.

    Water with zero taste as it should be!

    This water filter is worth every penny. It has supported my health for many years. Clean drinking water that is chlorine and fluoride-free is especially good for gut health, but it benefits the whole body, as I myself have experienced.
